Implementing chip cards
All customer magnetic strip Visa debit cards are being progressively replaced with chip enabled cards. This means that on card renewal or for any new cardholders, all Visa debit cards will be chip enabled with the 'chip' embossed on the left side of the card.

Using your Visa debit card at Woolworths outlets has changed
The Woolworths group has changed its EFTPOS processing network. Customers with a zero interest Visa debit card can no longer press the 'credit' button or sign when making a purchase at any Woolworths group outlet. Instead you need to press the 'cheque' option and enter your PIN to access funds.

The Woolworth's group includes all Woolworths and Safeway supermarkets / liquor / petro, BIG W, BSW, Dan Murphy's, Dick Smith, Tandy, Thomas Dux and ALH.
